Brodey 🌸

About Me 👤
Hi! I’m Brodey!
An experienced NDIS Support Worker and proud Partner at Bloom Support and Respite. I grew up as one of five siblings in a busy, loving household, which taught me from a young age the importance of teamwork, compassion, and understanding. These values naturally led me into the disability support sector, where supporting others feels both meaningful and rewarding.
My experience 💼
I’ve been working in disability and aged care since 2020, supporting individuals with a wide range of needs and abilities. My experience includes working in 2:1 support programs, within team environment, and alongside clients who are non-verbal, ASD, schizophrenia, dementia, and complex mental health or behavioural challenges. I also provide personal care, behavioural support and community access, and support to attend medical appointments.
Hobbies & Interests 🌴
Outside of work, I love staying active and healthy. You’ll often find me playing netball, going to the gym, or spending time outdoors. I’m a big animal lover and have two dogs, a cat, miniature donkeys, and an alpaca who all bring so much job to my life. I also used to ride horses competitively, which helped me shape my patience, discipline, and dedication.
I consider myself kind, motivated, and reliable, and I bring positive energy to everything I do. Supporting people to live their best lives isn’t just my job, it’s something I’m genuinely passionate about.

My experience 💼
I have spent the last 8 years working as a Team Lead / Senior Disability Employment Consultant for a not-for-profit organisation. I am passionate about empowering individuals facing barriers to employment, including disabilities, health conditions, injuries, justice involvement and behavioral challenges. Tailoring supports to meet their unique circumstances, we build both personal and professional skills, guiding them toward education pathways and sustainable employment outcomes. This has included assisting individuals to understand, stabilise, and manage their conditions while fostering confidence, independence, and resilience.
Hobbies & Interests 🌴
When I’m not working, you’ll often find me on the netball court, around cricket, out for a run, or soaking up some sun. I recently have found love for reading, very creative, have a geeky, confident personality, enjoy socialising, and you will usually find me either laughing or with a smile on my face.
I’ve coached netball and cricket, people of all ages and abilities for over a decade. Many years umpiring and hosting events which has taught me so much about encouragement, inclusivity, patience and bring out the best in others.
